Shipping policy
By placing an order through this website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These provisions are designed to ensure transparency, efficiency, and mutual protection for both you and Steve's Hardware.
1. General
All orders are subject to stock availability. While we make every effort to keep our inventory accurate, occasional discrepancies may occur. If an item you ordered is out of stock, we will:
- Fulfill the available items in your order.
- Contact you to choose between a refund for the unavailable item or waiting for restock.
2. Shipping Costs
Shipping charges are calculated during checkout based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of your order. These costs are displayed before payment and represent the final shipping amount to be paid by the customer.
3. Returns
3.1 Returns Due to Change of Mind
Steve's Hardware accepts returns for change of mind within 30 days of receipt. The item must be:
- Unused
- In its original packaging
- In resellable condition
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and arrangements. Upon receiving and approving your return, we will issue a store credit for the value of the returned item(s). Shipping fees are non-refundable.
3.2 Warranty Returns
We honor valid warranty claims submitted within 90 days of receiving your item. Customers must prepay return shipping; however, approved warranty claims will be reimbursed for return shipping costs.
Once received, claims will be processed within 7 business days. If approved, we will offer one of the following resolutions:
- A refund to your original payment method
- A store credit
- A replacement item (subject to availability)
4. Delivery Terms
4.1 Domestic Transit Time
- Economy Shipping (Free): 5–8 business days
- Standard Shipping (£15): 3–4 business days
- Handling Time: 1–3 business days
4.2 International Shipping
Steve's Hardware currently does not offer international shipping.
4.3 Dispatch Times
Orders are dispatched within 2 business days of payment. Our warehouse operates Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Minor delays may occur during peak periods.
4.4 Change of Delivery Address
You may update your delivery address any time before dispatch by contacting us directly.
4.5 P.O. Box Shipping
We deliver to P.O. boxes via standard postal services only. Courier services are not available for these addresses.
4.6 Military Address Shipping
We support shipping to military addresses using standard postal services (e.g., Royal Mail or USPS equivalents). Courier services are not supported.
4.7 Out-of-Stock Items
In-stock items will ship immediately. Backordered items will ship separately once restocked.
4.8 Delayed Deliveries
If your order has not arrived within the estimated time frame, please contact us. We will work with the courier to investigate and resolve the issue.
5. Tracking Notifications
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking link via email. This will allow you to monitor your shipment in real-time using the courier’s tracking system.
6. Damaged Parcels in Transit
If your parcel arrives damaged:
- If possible, reject the delivery and notify us immediately.
- If the parcel was delivered in your absence, please contact our customer service team for assistance.
7. Duties & Taxes
7.1 Sales Tax
Sales tax is included in the prices displayed on our website.
7.2 Import Duties & Taxes
Steve's Hardware does not currently offer international shipping. Should this change in the future, all import duties and taxes will be the responsibility of the recipient.
If a recipient refuses to pay duties or taxes, the parcel will be returned at their expense. In such cases, we will issue a refund for the product value only, excluding both original and return shipping fees.
8. Cancellations
You may cancel your order prior to dispatch by contacting us. If the order has already shipped, please refer to our Returns Policy for further instructions.
9. Insurance
All parcels are insured for loss or damage up to the declared value provided by the courier.
9.1 Damaged in Transit
We will issue a refund or replacement after the courier completes their investigation and confirms the damage.
9.2 Lost in Transit
A refund or replacement will be issued once the courier confirms that the parcel has been lost.
